I.Completed Projects (475.68)
1.MN06CW1: Tupul to Bishnupur – 50.80 Km)
(a) Externally Aided Project (EAP) under MDoNER, Govt. of India (GoI). The work has been completed. Rs. 15.69 Crore released by MDoNER for refund of Retention Money of Contractor is pending with the State Govt.
2.MN06CW2: Thoubal to Kasom Khullen – 47.125 km
(b) Rs. 1.00 Crore required as State Share during 2022-23 for meeting expenditure of Construction Supervision Consultant during the Defect Liability Period.
II.Ongoing Projects
Construction of Imphal Kangchup Tamenglong Road
1. Section A (Km 0.00 to Km 34.60) & Section B (Km 72.30 to Km 103.02) – 65.32 km (1437.44)
(a) EAP funded by Asian Development Bank through GoI with funding share of 90.10. Rs. 30.00 Crore released by GoI is pending with State Govt.
2.Lot 1 (Km 34.60 to Km 51.00) – 20.55 km (1437.44)
(b) State Govt. has providied a Gap Funding of Rs. 70.00 Crore for the project
3.Lot 2 (Km 51.00 to Km 72.30) – 22.10 Km (1437.44)
III.Pipeline Projects
1.Construction of Imphal Ring Road – 51.23 km (1398.16)
The project has been posed to ADB for US$122 Million. ADB had fielded two Missions and another Mission is scheduled for 19.05.2022 to 23.05.2022. All preparatory works are completed and tenders under advance contracting are to be floated within 2nd/3rd Quarter of current year.
2.Improvement of roads within Imphal City with Rigid Pavement including Concrete Lined Drains – 550 km (N/A)
The project has been posed to DEA, GoI for reconsideration for an Investment Loan of Rs. 3303.75 Crore from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. All Line Ministries have conveyed “No Objection” to the proposal. The State Govt. has taken up the Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study and DPR Preparation of the project for the cost of Rs. 14.04 Crore from its own sources.
3.Manipur State Roads Improvement Program – 400 km(N/A)
The project is being implemented into two phases i.e. Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study & Preparation of DPR and Implementation of the project. Terms of Reference for Consultancy Services for preparation of Feasibility Study & DPR for the project have been submitted to ADB for approval. The project will be then proposed as an Investment Loan to ADB or other funding agencies for improvement of 400 km important roads in the State with an estimated cost of Rs. 3044 Crore.
